List Game

Prepare:
  1. Sets of lists. Lists must be definite and has limit, preferably less than 20. For sample categories, see below.
Instructions:
  1. Divide participants into teams.
  2. On each round, the game master gives the category. Give time for teams to discuss.
  3. At the count of three, each team will take turns giving an item under that category. Each turn must be quick.
  4. When a team gives a wrong item, they are out of the round.
  5. When a team fails to give an item, or takes a long time, they are out of the round.
  6. The last team standing on each round scores a point.

  2. Fruit of the Spirit (9 possible answers, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fruit_of_the_Holy_Spirit)
  3. Stations of the LRT (18 possible answers, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manila_LRT_Yellow_Line)
  4. Books of the New Testament (27 possible answers)
  5. Books of the Old Testament (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Development_of_the_Old_Testament_canon)

Chopstick Relay

Materials:
  1. Two bowls per group
  2. One pair of chopstick per group
  3. Lots of nuts (Nagaraya or green peas)
Instructions:
  1. Divide the participants equally to form 4-5 or more persons per team.
  2. Have each team line-up. Provide a relay space.
  3. Each team member will take turns transferring one piece of nut from one bowl to the other using chopsticks.
  4. The team with the most nuts transferred at a set time (3 minutes?) wins.
Variant
  1. Instead of having each team their own bowl of nuts, have one bowl of nuts.
  2. Each member must struggle to transfer nuts into their team bowl. Other members can distract their competitors.

Heart Attack

Materials:
  1. Playing cards (or UNO Cards)
Instructions:
  1. Divide the cards equally among players. Players hold the cards so that the value of the card will be hidden from sight of other players.
  2. Each person will take turns (one player at a time) doing two things at the same time:
  3. Each person will count from 1 to 10 and repeat (or Ace to Queen). For example: First person will say "Ace", the next person will say "Two", the next person will say "Three" and so on.
  4. While saying their "number", each person (one at a time) puts down one card at the center of the group, revealing its value.
  5. When the revealed card matches the spoken number, each player must put one hand on the pile of cards at the center. The hand that is on the topmost loses, the pile of cards at the center will be added to his cards. The game continues with the next player saying the next number and so on ...
  6. The winner is the first person to dispose all his cards.
Variant:
  1. Counting is removed.
  2. Each person will take turn putting down his card in his own pile (So that each person has his own pile).
  3. At an instance when there appears similar numbers among the piles (for example, three of hearts & three of spades, or king of clubs & king of diamonds), the persons with the similar cards must call other's name. The first person to call the other person's name wins. The winner's pile is added to the loser's pile.
  4. The game continues until a person disposes all of his cards.

Blanket Game

Materials:
  1. One large blanket
  2. Two assistants who will hold the blanket
Objective:
  1. For each person to memorize other people's names.
Instructions:
  1. For three minutes (varies), have the participants memorize each other's names.
  2. Divide the participants into two groups.
  3. Instruct the two assistants to hold the blanket so that each group will not be able to see the group on the other side.
  4. On each round, the group will assign a person to be the representative of the group. Ask the representative to move closer to the center of the blanket. At this point, the two representatives would be facing each other but is hindered by the large blanket.
  5. At the count of three, the assistants will drop the blanket. The representatives must compete to call each other's name first. The first to call the other person's name wins a point for the group.
  6. Repeat until each one has participated.

Eye-scream

Instruction
  1. Participants sit on a circle.
  2. When the game master says "Heads down", each participant must put head down (to keep each person from seeing the other participant)
  3. When the game master says "Heads up!", each person must randomly look at one person.
  4. When a person meets the look of another person, both will scream and are out of the game.
  5. Do this until two persons remain.
  6. Variant: #4, When a person meets the look of another person, both will mention each other's name. The person who says the other person's name first stays in the game. The other person is out.

Two Truths and A Lie

Instructions:
  1. For three minutes (varies), each person must think of two (2) statements that is true about themselves and one (1) false statement.
  2. When everyone is ready, each person will take turns in telling the three statements. The group must identify which statement is the lie (false).
  3. You may allow each person to elaborate about the true statements to learn more about each person.
  4. Variant: To increase difficulty, have 2 false and one true statement, the group must identify the true statement.

Toothpick Game

Materials
  1. Toothpicks
Objective
  1. The objective of the game is to discover unique experiences/traits about each participant.
Instructions
  1. Give each participant three toothpicks.
  2. The goal is for each person to dispose their toothpicks.
  3. To dispose a toothpick, one must take turns in telling a unique experience/trait about themselves. If no one has similar experience or trait, the toothpick is disposed. If another person has similar experience or trait, the toothpick remains with the "teller".
  4. Variant: The first person to dispose all toothpick wins.
